ServerWatcher Preferences:
- Retry Interval:
How often should servers be checked? This will kick in
at the beginning of the next countdown. You should set this to the maximum
amount of time you are comfortable with so as to minimize the number
of requests to your server. Not that requesting pages from a web server
is bad, but there's no point in adding extra load to your server if you
don't need it.
- HTTP(S) Timeout: This is how long ServerWatcher will wait for a response
from your servers. If it doesn't get a response in that time it will
consider it dead and move on. This should always be less than
your retry interval. Otherwise you could end up with backed up requests
if your server is being slow.
- Web Server: If the enabled checkbox
isn't checked ServerWatchers web server
is off. When choosing a port be sure to choose one that isn't already in use and that
your firewall has open so that you see from other computers. If you don't want to check statuses
from other computers don't bother turning on the server.
All chages take effect when you click "Save".
